River Falls Police Chief Gordon Young said the department has gone from receiving treats or offers of support once or twice a week to about once a day since the recent police shooting in Dallas, which reportedly killed five police officers and injured others. City emergency and utility personnel were on scene at 1st and Starr in New Richmond Thursday night after the report of a gas leak. City officials evacuated about eight families from the area. The all-clear was given around 9 p.m., allowing families to go home. (Submitted photo)
