Students learn true spirit of giving
Middle school students at St. Bridget Parish School recently toured the Sharing and Caring Hands facility in Minneapolis. The eight grade students read a biography entitled “Great Love: The Mary Jo Copeland Story” by Michelle Lynne Peterson. To further enrich the students’ understanding of the novel and the true impact of this “urban saint,” students and teachers met Mary Jo and her husband Dick; toured the facilities; and brought donations of clothing, toys, and a $650 check from which the students raised money this fall in their annual Celtic Games. Students included Dylan Wittek, Danielle Miller, Morgan Steckbauer, Jazlynn Prudlow, Megan Cernohous, Sophia Swenson, Aaron Baillargeon, ‘Ema Pupungatoa, Delaney Welke, Mary Jo Copeland, Shannon Moran, and Victoria Malec.
