Amphibians invade the library

Submitted photos

Randy Korb of the Gaylord Nelson Audubon Society visited the River Falls Public Library April 6 to share interesting information and his collection of amphibians with area families.

About 100 people attended the event which displayed salamanders, tree frogs, toads, and other frog species such as leopard frogs. A large, speedy bullfrog had the audience scrambling about the room, trying to capture it and needing both hands to hold it.

Children helped Korb by acting as a tree for the frogs and by feeding them.
