A Wisconsin team of four teachers and administrators involved in agriculture education were among 41 state education officials and agriculture teachers from 11 states to attend the first National Agriscience Integration Institute (NAII) in Johnston, Iowa, Aug. 9-13.

NAII is designed to promote and enhance opportunities for inquiry-based science in environmental and agricultural education system programs, student attainment of science content standards and national agriculture content standards.

Those attending included left to right, Roger King, agriculture instructor at Holmen High School; Timothy Buttles, teacher/educator at UW-River Falls; Jeff Hicken, state staff, Wisconsin Department of Education; and Rick Henningfeld, agriculture instructor at Big Foot High School in Walworth.
