UPDATE: Is stolen vehicle connected to early-morning burglaries?

The suspect in the River Falls burglary and pickup truck theft has been identified as Eric T. "Buck" Hall. He is wanted for crashing the truck in Chippewa County Friday night and is considered armed and possibly dangerous.

River Falls police are looking for a stolen vehicle reported just after 6:30 a.m. Friday, Jun 13, from the 300 block of Church Street that could be tied to a couple of nearby business burglaries that morning.

Those burglaries were at Dick’s Fresh Market, 1121 S. Main St., and Copper Kettle, 1005 S. Main St.

River Falls Police Chief Roger Leque said the stolen vehicle is a 2007 Ford Explorer, maroon in color, Wisconsin license plate 10377HD.

Added Leque: “It is a Harley Davidson plate.  We are investigating the possible connection to the burglaries.  If anyone has information regarding the stolen vehicle, please contact RFPD.”

Leque said the security alarm at Dick’s Fresh Market went off at 3:06 a.m. Friday, June 13.

A morning cleaning person at Copper Kettle called to report the break-in at that restaurant.

Leque said forced entry at both places was done by breaking the glass front door windows.

Cash was taken from Copper Kettle. Apparently nothing was taken from Dick’s.

Leque says video surveillance of the suspect shows: White male with a dark goatee, in his 20s  to 30s, wearing a light-colored, possibly gray, hooded sweatshirt.

Police are asking for anyone to call with information that might help solve these crimes.
