On the Job: Mary-Alice Muraski

 Mary-Alice Muraski has been named director at large on the Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys Board. She previously served eight years on the Girls Scout Council of St. Croix Valley board — two of those as secretary. Muraski has been involved in Girl Scouts for more than 45 years.

Muraski has been serving as a member of the Girl Scout Council of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valley’s IT Advisory group and leading a committee overseeing the implementation of a customer relations software package to improve registration and communications for the council.

Muraski is also a teaching and learning technologies consultant and UW-River Falls. She has worked at UWRF for 30 years. She has worked for the division of technology services for eight years.

Muraski, her grandmother and her mother have all been both Girl Scouts and leaders for their daughter’s troops. Muraski has several nieces who were Girl Scouts and are now leaders for their daughters. Boy Scouting has also been a part of her family members’ lives with a Sea Explorer Boy Scout group called a ‘Ship 508.’ Starting with Muraski’s father, many male siblings and now nephews have served as members and leaders of the program.
