Bar gets another noise ticket
After the third warning, River Falls police gave the owner of Coach's Bar, 127 S. Main St., a $114 citation for loud and unnecessary noise last Thursday just after 1:30 a.m. Officers had taken complaints from an upstairs tenant and agreed the blaring music was too loud. Last year Coach's was cited at least a half-dozen times for loud noise, mostly originating from a newly expanded area of the bar.
Police say Logan Moon, of Hudson, Coach's owner, was angry about the noise warning last week and said he didn't care if he got a citation, which he did.
Last year the City Council briefly considered revoking Moon's liquor license.
Police Chief Roger Leque said no further action was planned against Moon for this latest incident, but added that Moon's cooperation -- or lack of -- would be a factor this June when his liquor license comes up for renewal.
Also last week police:
One officer withdrew and aimed his Taser gun at the Hudson man in order to get him handcuffed. The man later said he couldn't write a statement because he couldn't remember what happened. Before his release, the man was given a $366 fine.
