Heavy snow showers in the Roberts area around 8 a.m., Monday caused several spin-outs near Mile Marker 11 and backed up traffic for five miles in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94. At least two people were transported to Hudson Medical Center with minor injuries from one of the crashes, according to State Patrol radio transmissions. Nearly an inch of snow quickly accumulated on CTH N, just south of the Interstate and St. Croix County Highway Department crews were dispatched to plow and salt interstate on-ramps which were particularly slippery.

Emergency personnel from Roberts-Warren Fire Department and United Fire's Hammond and Baldwin stations assisted with the crashes.
