UPDATE: Another accident with injuries in Oak Grove Township

OAK GROVE TOWNSHIP - Nearly 24 hours after a fatal accident took place in Oak Grove Townhip, another vehicle accident  took place in the township Friday not too far from where Thursday's accident took place.

Two cars drove off the road into a field next to the intersection of CTH. E and Hwy. 10 late Friday afternoon. Injuries were reported and one person was taken by stretcher into an ambulance.

A vehicle driven by Jeremy Lokrantz, 27, of River Falls, according to the sheriff's report, pulled from the Stop sign into the path of a vehicle traveling westbound on Hwy. 10 operated by David Herzog, 23, of Prescott. Both vehicles left the roadway and entered into the southwest ditch with damage to them. 

Lokrantz was transported by ambulance to River Falls Area Hospital with undetermined injuries. Herzog was not injured.

Personnel from the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, River Falls Ambulance and Prescott Fire and Ambulance and Siewrt's Towing were at the accident scene.

This particular intersection has been the site of previous accidents, including fatal ones. Money has been spent to make it safer.
