HUDSON: Octagon House hosts tours

Mothers get in free when accompanied by a paying child of any age when taking a tour of the historic Octagon House, 1004 Third St., from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 10, Mother's Day. PIERCE COUNTY: Dental clinic available

The Pierce County Public Health Department offers preventative dental clinic twice a month for residents ages 2-18. The check up may include a dental exam, cleaning, fluoride treatments, x-rays and sealants at the clinic located in Ellsworth. Medical Assistance will cover costs for eligible clients and persons enrolled in Badger Care and Healthy Start. A sliding fee scale is also available. HUDSON: Informational meeting offered on water birth methods, doulas

A free informational meeting for parents who are expecting a baby and are considering a water birth will be offered from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Pathways Chiropractic. The gathering will be hosted by local birth coaches. Information about having a birth coach during pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum will also be offered. The meeting is open to the public. HUDSON: New exhibitions begin

A new series of exhibitions featuring work by area artists Fred Annes, Bradley Royce, Chuck Avery, Jeanne McGee and Peggy Lauritsen will be on view Friday, May 1, through Sunday, June 7, in The Galleries of The Phipps Center for the Arts. A reception will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., May 1. The event is free and open to the public. Galleries hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday 12, and one hour before and through intermission of all performances in The Phipps theaters. HUDSON: Open house planned

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of St. Croix County will host an open house from 2-5 p.m. Monday, May 18, at the St. Croix Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Road.
