Purchasing an official 2010 Pierce County Platbook helps to support 4-H Youth Development programs for nearly 1,000 Pierce County youth in grades K through one year past high school.

Local 4-H youth and adult volunteers contract for the official platbook every 3-4 years and sell advertising to support the cost of the book production. From scholarships to award trips to educational supplies for life skills workshops, camps and project support, this fundraiser is key to keeping local 4-H youth on the path to positive youth development.

Books allow purchasers to view local road and property information, identify state-owned land and support local businesses who help make the platbook possible. They are also useful tools to get ready for the fall hunting season!

Platbooks are $25 and can be purchased at the Junior Fair Office in the Seyforth Building during Pierce County Fair week (Aug. 9-15). They are also available at these other county locations: Ellsworth-UW-Extension Office, Pierce County Courthouse, The Outdoor Store, Pamida, M & I Bank, State Farm Insurance-Denton Achenbach, Pierce County Herald, Bank Mutual; River Falls-Lund's Hardware, River Falls State Bank; Elmwood-Sailers Meats, Cenex; Beldenville-Beldenville Vet Service; and Spring Valley-Hair Affaire, Bank of Spring Valley and Red Barn Country Store.
