If your fuzzy friend has the fluffiest head you've ever seen or is the most friendly dog in the neighborhood, or perhaps knows a funny trick or two, bring him to Vezina's Veterinary at 1350 S. Wasson Lane for a  "Fuzzy Friend Fun Dog Show" for all ages, rain or shine, starting at 5:30 p.m. for registration on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Show manager and grandson of Don and Diane Vezina of River Falls, William Houston, age 9,  said there will be lots of fun for all with awards going to classes such as shortest tail, oldest dog, cutest costume, owner race, funniest trick, fluffiest head, etc. Entries are $2.50 per class, ribbons will be given for 1st-4th places. Owners are asked to keep dogs on leash, pick up after them, and current rabies shot required.

William is hoping to raise enough money to buy more trees, a bench, trash can, or improve the path that goes to the high school arboretum planted in memory of students Ray Pechacek, Brandon and Ryan Viney, Keegan Cleary, and Sara Goldbach. The arboretum is located south of the high school.
