While River Falls High School senior Carlie Christensen has enjoyed a hockey career spanning 15 years, she thinks it’s time to retire the River Falls Youth Hockey Association 20-year-old jerseys.

Carlie, who is goalie and team captain of the St. Croix Valley Fusion, is hosting a dodge ball tournament to buy new uniforms for kids who play youth hockey.

The event will be 6-11 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Wildcat Centre, 861 Cemetery Road. All ages can participate, but teams must have a minimum of six players.

Ellsworth resident Carlie has played hockey since she was two years old and is greatly involved in academics, athletics and school organizations.

“She decided to give back as she wanted to do something for the association and we are in desperate need of new jerseys,” said Jody Christensen, Carlie’s mother.

Registration  is $100 per team. A cash prize will be awarded for the top team. Profits will go to the River Falls Youth Hockey Association to buy jerseys.

Interested participants can contact Carlie at or (715) 307-3193.
