The Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for what it hopes will be a hauntingly good time this weekend. The chamber’s annual Community Business Expo will be Saturday, from noon to 4 p.m.

“I think it’s going to be a good time,” said Chamber Event and Program Coordinator Maranda Mahr.

The Halloween-themed event is free to attend and features booths by at least 70 local businesses and nonprofits, as well as entertainment scheduled throughout the day.

The entertainment will kick off at noon with Zumba, followed by a 12:30 p.m. demonstration by AKF Martial Arts, a 1:30 p.m. kiddie parade, a dance activity by local instructor Jennifer McCoy at 2:30 p.m., a 3 p.m. River Falls Gymnastics demonstration, and a prize drawing at 3:30 p.m.

Mahr said each business is encouraged to decorate its table in a Halloween theme. People attending the event can vote for the “Best Themed Booth.” This will enter businesses in a drawing to win prizes.

Other entertainment will include a KidZone Inflatables bounce house and feature a photo booth where people can have their pictures taken with Freddie the Falcon from 1-2 p.m., Wiley the Wildcat from 2-3 p.m. and the River Falls Royal Ambassadors from 3-4 p.m.

“This has always been a very fun event,” Mahr said. “It is a great event for the whole family to come out to. People really get into it.”

The event will be Saturday, Oct. 26 from noon-4 p.m. at the high school. For more information, contact the chamber at 715-425-2533.
