Business decorates local veteran's home

Glen Bottolfson, River Falls, was chosen for the Decorated Families program this year. Through the program, the retired Vietnam veteran's house and lawn were decorated for Christmas--for free.

It means a lot to Glen Bottolfson to see his house decorated for Christmas. But, in recent years, Glen Bottolfson hasn't really been able to decorate much.

So, Bottolfson's fellow members of the River Falls American Legion Post 121 nominated him for Christmas Décor's Decorated Families program.

The owners of Christmas Décor also own and operate Greenskeepers of River Falls. Through Decorated Families, the homes of military families are decorated for free.

"I thought it was wonderful that he was the recipient," said Paige Olson, a close friend and neighbor of Bottolfson. "It's was a real honor."

Bottolfson said it was especially nice to have the house decorated in time for Christmas.
