The “Sirens of the 60s” featuring local performer Colleen Raye will perform at the FORWARD River Falls Education Foundation fundraiser Monday, Dec. 2, at the River High School auditorium.

A social hour, silent auction and bake sale will start at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets are adults, $15, and students, $10. They are available at Dish and the Spoon Café or Dicks Market.

Proceeds will benefit FORWARD: The River Falls Public Schools Education Foundation, “an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide grants for innovative teacher-developed programs which benefit students in grades 4K-12.”

To date, FORWARD has awarded $26,500 to teachers at all of the district’s schools.

In addition to attending the Dec. 2 fundraiser, FORWARD, a public charity with a tax-exempt status, will offer holiday cards for donations of $10 or more on behalf of a teacher, friend or colleague.

Cards will be available beginning Dec. 1 at school offices, at Pretty Darn Good Yarn, 104 N. Main St. and Fox Den Used Books, 120 S. Main St., or via our website at

All donations made to FORWARD are tax deductible and 100% of your gifts stay in River Falls.

According to the FORWARD newsletter, a group of donors has pledged to match every dollar given, up to $13,000, to support the many teaching projects going on in the River Falls Public Schools, which are funded by FORWARD Foundation grants.

Besides the fundraiser and holiday cards, donations can be made by mailing a check to FORWARD Foundation/P.O. Box 183/River Falls, WI 54022, via credit card using PayPal at, or by monthly withdrawal from your checking account (form can be found on the website).
