Fall Festival this Sunday

Persons interested in helping when Pierce County hosts Wisconsin Farm Technology Days next year or just wanting to learn more about the event are invited to a fall festival.

The festival will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at the Roger and Bev Peterson family farm at Hwy. 29 and County Road E.

The event will include food, tram rides around the farm, activities for children and at 1 p.m. a Farm Technology Days question and answer session.

The 1947 Farmall Cub tractor and the queen size "Old Glory" pattern quilt that are the main prizes in the FTD raffle will on display. Raffle tickets, apparel and "Taste of Pierce County" cookbooks will be available for purchase.

Kids' activities will include face and pumpkin painting.

Chili, hot dogs and apple and pumpkin pies provided by local churches will be served. A free-will offering is requested for the meal.
