Letter: All about jobs
Many people are out of work. Our economy is in bad shape. It is getting worse because of skyrocketing oil prices. This raises the cost of every product that needs to be transported.
Employers are in a cost-price squeeze. They must cut costs to survive. This means more people are getting laid off from their jobs.
We need more jobs. Our governor is doing the job he was elected to do. He can create conditions favorable to job growth. Governor Walker's budget bill will get our state back on the road to economic recovery.
Do unions create jobs? Do unions create havoc? Are unions part of the problem? (The unions have caused $7.5 million damage to our state Capitol.)
When the economy crashes everyone loses. It certainly is in the best interest of teachers, state employees and everyone else in our state to support this budget.
Jobs are critical!
