Fourteen students were recently recognized by their teachers from each grade level and house at Meyer Middle School during the month of January, due to the outstanding work and social and academic skills displayed in their respective classrooms.
Jo Dougherty, Japanese teacher for both the high school and middle school, led seven River Falls students on an 18-day tour of Japan in June, showing them landmarks like the Tokyo Tower and Hiroshima, and immersing them in Japanese culture.
Luke Johnson, the son of Matt and Stephanie Johnson, and Kaitlyn Florer, the daughter of Tom and Sue Florer, share the honor of being named May’s Students of the Month at the high school. They were selected by their teachers for a high level of achievement in science. Teachers making the student selections were Dan Hoffman, Terri Steinmetz and Molly Coughlin.
The following students are Students of the Month at Meyer Middle School, representing teachers’ choices for April. They were picked on the basis of outstanding work on an individual project or for outstanding performance and attitude on an ongoing basis.
