Ragnar Relay Great River, the 200-mile team relay providing a scenic “run up the river” from Winona (Minn.) to Minneapolis along the Mississippi River, announced a record number of attendees to the 2012 race, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 17, and Saturday, Aug. 18.
River Falls residents Kipkorir Kosgei, 24, and Liz Black, 30, led a field of 232 runners to win the men's and women's divisions in the annual River Falls Days 10K race, Saturday morning. Taking first in the two-mile race were Scott Bowman, 22 and Paige Skorseth, 15, both of River Falls.
Ethan Genco and first Royal Ambassador Monica Morgan won the River Falls Days 2-mile race while Dallas Vincent of St. Paul and Kayla Wagner of Baldwin paced a field of nearly 200 runners to finish first in the 10K race. Compete results appear here.
River Falls runners Colin Rogers and Logan O'Grady paced 5:12- and 5:40-minute miles, respectively, to win the annual two-mile and 10K River Falls Days race Saturday morning. Winners among women were Kayla Wagner of Baldwin (two-mile) and Lisa Witt of Hudson.
