Nature presents an ever more colorful palette with each passing day.
Only minutes from my home, by bicycle, acres of corn are beginning to tassel on verdant hills. Squares, rectangles and rhomboids in vibrant shades of beige and green dissect the landscape and abundant wild flowers and cushions of thistle infringe on asphalt.
You may have noticed that there is a little less local art than usual right now. That is because CAB’s GALA is over, UW-RF is between sessions, Music in the Park hasn’t started and many venues are between shows.
Local artist Maren R. Zabel’s paintings will be featured at an exhibit beginning Feb. 27-April 25, at the St. Croix Valley Restorative Justice Center, 215 N. 2nd St., across from the River Falls post office.
