Jury trial dates for Aug. 17 to 20 were set Monday for Lindon Roy Knutson, the Wisconsin sex offender accused of beating, sexually assaulting and robbing a 73-year-old woman in November at a rural Minnesota church.
After a dozen years of patrolling the streets of River Falls, Jeff Sather has been promoted to police sergeant effective June 1. Sather, 37, from Centuria, joined the police reserves in 1995 and became a full-time officer two years later. He has a degree from UW-River Falls and his wife, Lori, is a second grade teacher at Westside.
