Cats end season on high note
The Wildcat football team rallied behind a pair of seniors in its final game of the season.
Tanner Kusilek scored three touchdowns and Ryan Kusilek passed for two touchdowns, ran for another and kicked a 39-yard field goal as the Wildcats took care of Superior, 44-22, Friday night at Ramer Field.

Seniors Chris Ertsgaard, left, and Kallie Friede are introduced to the crowd at Ramer Field Friday night as the 2011 River Falls High School Homecoming King and Queen. The pair beat out eight other candidates in voting by their classmates and were crowned at halftime of the Wildcats’ Homecoming game against Hudson. The Raiders defeated the Wildcats 28-0. Cadet Joe Gresback of River Falls, second from the right, was part of a color guard unit provided by the ROTC Fighting Saints Battalion from the universities of St. Benedict, St. Cloud State, and St. John during St. John’s football game against Augsburg University on Sept. 24. Gresback graduated from River Falls High School in 2011 and now attends St. John’s in Collegeville, Minn.

Hudson scored on its first two possessions of the game and went on to spoil River Falls’ homecoming by shutting out the Wildcats 28-0 Friday night at Ramer Field.
