A man accused in the murder of his three young daughters was bound over for trial in St. Croix County Circuit Court Tuesday morning.
Judge Scott Needham found probable cause that Aaron Schaffhausen committed a felony and set an arraignment hearing for Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. when he will enter a plea.
A man accused in the deaths of his three young daughters in a gruesome incident at a River Falls residence last Tuesday made his initial appearance in St. Croix County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon.
District Attorney Eric Johnson said the throats were slit on all three girls.
About two hours after he allegedly killed his three children at the home where he once lived, a former River Falls man turned himself in to police at their station, soon after officers had begun searching for him. Aaron Schaffhausen, 34, was booked into St. Croix County Jail at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, on three counts of first degree intentional homicide.
“It’s one of those things that you would never expect you’d be doing,” said Hudson resident and former astronaut Curt Brown. Brown, a former Air Force pilot, worked with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, or NASA, from 1987 to 1999.
