‘Water’ wins mayor’s heart, praise
Young Maggie Teitelbaum’s poem “Water” will be painted on the White Kinnic Pathway this year for all to read. Teitelbaum’s original work was picked by Mayor Don Richards after he was asked to read poems composed by young poets enrolled in the Community Arts Base-sponsored workshop, called Poetry on the River 2008, and then choose the one he would most like to read while walking along the pathway. That method of selection was different than in previous years when the workshop considered it more of a contest for the best poem written.August 28, 2008
