Bluegrass Fest, weather bring out crowds
Restaurants, bars and even street corners drew capacity crowds all over downtown River Falls for the second annual Roots & Bluegrass Music Festival this past weekend.

’Miracle Worker’ opens March 23
"The Miracle Worker,” an inspirational drama by William Gibson, will be performed March 23 – April 15 at The Phipps Center for the Arts. The center is pleased to announce an American Sign Language (ASL)-interpreted performance on April 15.

River Falls holds Bluegrass Fest this weekend
The second annual Bluegrass & Roots music festival will be held Friday - Sunday, March 23-25 in downtown River Falls. The three days of live Bluegrass, Roots, Cajun, and Americana music will include headliners Dr. Ralph Stanley and His Clinch Mountain Boys on Friday night and Pert’ Near Sandstone on Saturday night.

Feb. 29, 2012: Time to say goodbye to popular River Falls librarian
A reception Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 29, drew a bevy of people, young and old, to wish children's librarian Susan Pesheck the best in retirement. Pesheck is retiring after 13 years. Many of those who came to Wednesday's reception were parents and their children -- both current and former participants in the Storytime reading series that Pesheck has hosted as part of her job.

Library names ‘Merry Mittens’ contest winners
