Former Wildcats Eric Emerson and Sierra Becker both earned All-American honors at the 2013 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the Conroe Natatorium in Shenandoah, Tex. during the weekend of March 23-24.
Tom Ramquist, Isaac Dzubay and Alex Haskins each made four trips to the awards podium and Ramquist posted the Cats’ best finish of the day by placing third in the 200 yard freestyle as the Wildcat boys’ swimming and diving team placed fourth at the six-team Big Rivers Conference Championship Meet Saturday, Feb. 2 in River Falls.
Junior Tom Ramquist took first in the 200 yard freestyle and the Wildcats received a first place effort in the 200 freestyle relay, but perennial Big Rivers Conference powerhouse Eau Claire Alliance (Memorial/North) posted a 129-56 victory over River Falls Jan. 24 at the high school pool.

The Wildcat depth was on full display in the first home swim meet of the season Thursday, Sept. 6, as the Cats posted six first place finishes and swept the second through fifth spots in three other events on their way to a 110-60 Big Rivers Conference victory over Rice Lake.
Former Wildcat state champion Eric Emerson earned All-American honors at the 2012 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis March 21-24 as a member of the UW-Stevens Point 200 yard freestyle and 400 yard freestyle relay teams.
Registration for the Spring/Summer session of the River Falls Swim Club will take place Tuesday, March 27, from 6-7 p.m. at the high school pool.
The club will have its Annual Duel On the Rivers meet against the Hudson Area Swim Association (HASA) in early June. It will also have bike rides and lake swims, Mini-Races and Game Days, and challenge and goal sets.
River Falls’ 200 yard freestyle relay team turned in an 11th place finish at the WIAA Boys Division 2 Swimming and Diving Championships in Madison.
The Cats’ 200 medley relay team finished 16th while diver T.J. Baldini placed 14th.
