Coach assists Special Olympians
Jason Swavely, Hudson varsity boys’ basketball coach, hosted a basketball skills mini-camp for the Kinnickinnic Special Olympics Saturday, Jan. 7. The group is a local division of Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI).

Updated: Cars collide in rural River Falls; teenager cited
Two vehicles crashed at the intersection of County Road JJ and County Road M in the town of Kinnickinnic at 8 a.m. this morning, Thursday, Feb. 16. Both autos were badly damaged, possibly totaled and needed to be towed. Neither driver was seriously hurt. One, however, had to be taken by River Falls Ambulance to the hospital.

Al Zeitz, 475 Valley View, has taken out nomination papers to run for Supervisor No. 4 on the Kinnickinnic Town Board. His papers, like those of any other candidate, must be returned with the required signatgures by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Town contemplates turning up the heat on fire-bill deadbeats
Enough! Town of Kinnickinnic officials say unpaid fire call bills for non-residents have long been a fiscal thorn in the side. The Town Board wants to get more aggressive with deadbeats.

Potluck barn party scheduled Sept. 24
The eighth annual Potluck Barn Party will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Williams’ barn, 263 Liberty Road (the home of Scott and Susan Williams). The free event will include an apple pie baking contest and live music by Broken V and Grainbelters.
