CITY OF RIVER FALLSNOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED ORDINANCE AT ITS AUGUST 24, 2010, MEETING, THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVER FALLS ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:

Ordinance 2010-14 – Repeal Chapter 12.22  Regulations for Fertilizer Application and Sale. The State of Wisconsin passed state-wide restrictions on the use and sale of phosphorus fertilizers effective April 1, 2010. Since the new state law is more restrictive than the City’s code, Chapter 12.22 was repealed to avoid any confusion with the state law.

CITY OF RIVER FALLSNOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED ORDINANCE AT ITS AUGUST 10, 2010, MEETING, THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVER FALLS ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:

Ordinance 2010-13 - An Ordinance Repealing the Title to Chapter 8.48  and Other Sections of Chapter 8.48 of the Municipal Code and Recreating the Title to Chapter 8.48 to read  “Smoking in Public Places Banned” and Recreating Section 8.48.010 Prohibiting Smoking in Enclosed Places. The provisions of §101.123, Wis. Stats., as amended by 2009 Wisconsin Act 12 relating to the prohibition of smoking in variously described enclosed places, are hereby adopted and made part of the City’s Code by reference. Penalties for each violation shall be as prescribed in Chapter 1.20, General Penalty, of the municipal Code. As is prescribed in §101.123, a warning notice shall be issued to the “person in charge” for the first violation.

Notice of Complete Application for Proposed Grading

Campusview 320 LLC, C/o Matt Twomey, P.O. Box 439, River Falls, WI 54022 has applied to the Department of Natural Resources for a permit to grade more than 10,000 square feet on the banks of the Kinnickinnic River. The purpose of this project is to construct (3) multi-family residences located upstream of the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River. There will be (2) 3-story, 12-unit buildings and (1) 2-story 7-unit building. This project will meet or exceed all of the requirements set forth by the DNR and the City of River Falls, including storm water run off and erosion control requirements. The construction of this site will also include an asphalt parking lot, concrete pads and sidewalks, retaining walls, storm water conveyance and underground storage, landscaping, and erosion control measures.

CITY OF RIVER FALLSNOTICE OF NEWLY ENACTED ORDINANCE AT ITS JULY 13, 2010, MEETING, THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVER FALLS ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:

Ordinance 2010-11 – Repeal and Recreate Chapter 15.16. 110 Rental Dwelling Permit Application and Fee Schedule. The ordinance amends and recreates Chapter 15.16.110 and requires dwelling units which produce rental income to have an annual permit and paid fee on file with the City.
