Letter: We’re fighting back

It’s encouraging seeing ordinary Americans waking up and paying attention to how government affects their lives.

By Peggy Steffl, town of Clifton , March 12, 2010

Letter: Were you there?

A recent letter had much to say about tea parties. I wonder how many of the author’s comments were based on firsthand observation.

By Craig W. Olson, River Falls , March 12, 2010

I saw the university’s most recent theatre production on opening night, “Our Country’s Good.”

Letter: Cuts to hurt district’s image

About 12 years ago my family was being relocated to the Twin Cities. A primary concern was which school district to reside in to best meet the needs of our children.

Letter: Big city, thumbs up

It was with trepidation that I ventured at a friend’s request Friday night to drive an hour from Minneapolis to see the River Falls Community Theatre production of “Fiddler On The Roof” at the high school. I thought — boring! But wow, I sure was wrong.

Letter: Not Halloween, but still scary

The Tea Party held its first national convention in Nashville last month, drawing a colorful but quarreling coalition of fundamentalist Christians, anti-tax activists, anti-immigration cranks, protectionists, mainstream conservative Republicans, Libertarians, militia members packing weapons, and social conservatives who resent the intervention of courts and the federal government on issues such as abortions and gay marriages.

By Ray Anderson, River Falls , March 05, 2010

Letter: Richly deserved

Thank you to the River Falls American Legion for helping me and my employer raise funds for Honor Flight.
