Miracle fundraisers

Miracle fundraisers Jim and Joyce Jackman of River Falls are the grandparents of these four youngsters, three of whom, along with other participants in Litchfield, Minn., took part in the MiracleKids Thriathlon held last month in Chanhassen, Minn. The group raised $10,000 for the Miracles of Mitch Foundation, which serves families with a child battling cancer in a Minnesota hospital. With the exception of Garrison Jackman, in center foreground, his older sisters and brother who took part are, from left to right: Sydney, Ariana and Kal Jackman.

Harvest Moon Barn Dance to benefit cancer care is Oct. 2 The River Falls Area Hospital Foundation’s fifth annual Harvest Moon Barn Dance will be on Saturday, Oct. 2 at Westridge Farms, just west of River Falls. The event will again benefit the foundation’s “Access to Care” fund, with a special focus on expanding access to cancer care services at River Falls Area Hospital and throughout the region.
