Arts Minded: AOK is almost here

Pull!
Sunday afternoon 5-year-old Brian Johnson of River Falls pumps away in the Pierce County Fair Pedal Tractor Pull. Johnson, the son of Sandra Rohl and who will be a kindergartner at Greenwood this fall, finished 8th out of 20 in the boys’ five-and-six-year-old category with a pull of 19 feet, 7 inches. Sam Rixmann of River Falls finished first with a pull of 23 feet, 2 inches. There were 74 boys and girls ages 12 and under who competed in the fair’s free pedal tractor pull.

Willow River Players will hold auditions for their upcoming fall production of "Dearly Beloved" a southern wedding comedy. Authors are Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Dearly Beloved is the story of a completely dysfunctional but loving Texas family in the throes of a series of life changing events.
