Students show off new skills
Local students recently showcased their speaking talents at an open house and mock meeting held at Faith Lutheran Church, 545 Apollo Rd. The nine area home school students, grades 7-9, trained with mentors Lori Meyer and Diane Bennett from the Hudson Rise ‘n Shine Toastmasters for nine weeks.

Montessori students collect food-shelf donations
Heartland Montessori School recently held a "Feast for Friends" food drive for the River Falls Food Shelf. The Children's House and Elementary together collected 270 pounds of food.
