Emerson and Joan (Ritzinger) Tetzlaff will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, June 28. The high school sweethearts were married in 1952 at the Presbyterian Church in Superior. A private family celebration is planned.

SECOND UPDATE: Farmer injured in accident on Hwy. 29
An 89-year-old town of River Falls man was transported to Regions Hospital in St. Paul Wednesday evening after the utility vehicle he was driving was hit by a car on Hwy. 29 about a mile east of River Falls. At about 10 a.m. Thursday, a spokeswoman for Regions said Ed Hanson was in good condition.

The town of Troy will soon be in the market for a clerk/treasurer. It was announced at the Thursday, June 14, regular Town Board meeting that Sharon Provos will be resigning from that twin role to take a similar, full-time job with the city of Little Canada in Minnesota.
