Schaffhausen bound over in homicide case
A man accused in the murder of his three young daughters was bound over for trial in St. Croix County Circuit Court Tuesday morning. Judge Scott Needham found probable cause that Aaron Schaffhausen committed a felony and set an arraignment hearing for Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. when he will enter a plea.

Saying goodbye
The memorial for the late Schaffhausen girls was Tuesday evening, July 17, at the Kilkarney Hills Golf Club. There was a visitation from 4-7 p.m. and the memorial service was at 7 p.m. Media was not invited to the memorial at the family’s request. To ensure the security of the memorial, a Sheriff’s deputy was stationed outside the golf club.

Police continue to ask for the public's assistance in its search for a laptop computer and computer bag believed to be Aaron Schaffhausen’s. Schaffhausen has been charged with the murders of his three daughters in River Falls Tuesday, July 10. These items may have been ditched along the road by Schaffhausen before he turned himself in. Items in question are a Sony VAIO laptop and a Targus laptop bag.

River Falls community gathers to remember the ‘angels’ that were lost
Among the hundreds of people who attended a candle-light vigil Wednesday evening, July 11, at Glen Park, not a dry eye could be found. Groups of little girls were seen embracing each other or their parents as they sobbed. About two hours after he allegedly killed his three children at the home where he once lived, a former River Falls man turned himself in to police at their station, soon after officers had begun searching for him. Aaron Schaffhausen, 34, was booked into St. Croix County Jail at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, on three counts of first degree intentional homicide.
