A River Falls patrol officer came upon a man naked from the waist down as he walked near the intersection of Main Street and Cascade Avenue after 3 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. The 27-year-old Menomonie man was described as drunk and unable to explain the nudity that left his genitals exposed. Disturber of the peace tells officer: Gone fishing
It was four thirty in the morning on a Saturday, Aug. 4. An elderly tenant in the 400 block of South Fifth Street was jarred from his sleep by pounding and rattling that he said made it seem as if the “whole house was shaking.” River Falls police officers responded and found a 21-year-old man on the porch. He seemed drunk and covered in dirt and mud, as if he’d fallen. Asked what he was doing, the man said he was just fishing from the front steps of the porch.

RF Police brought in to deal with suicidal man
Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, police officers were called to 1440 E. Cemetery Road to deal with a man who had a knife and was making suicidal threats. The local man ended up in a confrontation with officers who used a Taser stun gun to try to subdue him. River Falls Police Chief Roger Leque said he and a half-dozen officers were at the scene along with a Pierce County deputy. The man sustained “self-inflicted” stabbing wounds and was taken first to River Falls Area Hospital.
