A single individual dressed in camouflage and wearing a mask entered the M&I Bank in Prescott Friday and demanded money from two tellers and a customer. No weapon was displayed. The robber was observed leaving the bank on a bicycle.

River Falls police were called to Kwik Trip on North Main Street Monday afternoon, Sept. 3, for a man there selling Tide laundry detergent out of his car. The man drove away before officers arrived but the car was soon spotted parked outside Walgreen’s drugstore.

A 43-year-old River Falls man was picked up for shoplifting twice in three days at Family Fresh Market, 303 S. Main St. According to police, both times he was allegedly stashing away a bottle of vodka in the front of his pants. He was caught doing so on video the first time Thursday afternoon, Aug. 16, but walked out of the store before he could be detained. Then, late Saturday afternoon, Aug. 18, he was caught in one of the grocery’s food aisles – allegedly with another bottle stuffed down his pants.

Area law enforcement will be out in force for the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown on drunken drivers from Aug. 17 to Sept. 3. In a statement from the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department: “The goal of the campaign is to not arrest more drunk drivers -- our goal is to deter drunken driving.”
