A 20-year-old local man said he was driven from his apartment by the woman he shares living space with. He said she came home at 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, and went into a fury because he was sleeping on her couch. The man said he was scratched on the neck by her fingernails. He was later found, without jacket or shoes, at the corner of Main and Maple streets. River Falls police say the man was so distraught that he was almost hyperventilating

Former UWRF Animal Science Equine student Jennifer Easton gave back to her college in a big way. After being ranked fourth in the world in 1999 by the National Reining Horse Association, she donated over $500,000 to the university’s horse science program, making possible a much needed new colt barn at Lab Farm #1 on Wasson Lane.
