Days Gone By: 2002
JULY 18, 2002 — Theme for the 2002 River Falls Days was the “Kinni Runs Through It.” After taking a year off, pageantry came back with “Ambassadors” of River Falls in 2001, rather than “Miss River Falls.” Candidates this year included, from left: Tyleah Strusz, Trista Struve, Gabrielle Meyer, Holly VanDynHoven and Kayla Erickson. Struve and Meyer were chosen as 2002 River Falls Ambassadors. Medallion finder was sixteen-year-old Tony Jenkins, who found it near the Kinnickinnic at the site of the old Cedar Street bridge.
