Disturber of the peace tells officer: Gone fishing
It was four thirty in the morning on a Saturday, Aug. 4. An elderly tenant in the 400 block of South Fifth Street was jarred from his sleep by pounding and rattling that he said made it seem as if the “whole house was shaking.” River Falls police officers responded and found a 21-year-old man on the porch. He seemed drunk and covered in dirt and mud, as if he’d fallen. Asked what he was doing, the man said he was just fishing from the front steps of the porch.
