It appears that Wisconsin has lost its world record for the heaviest pumpkin. Chris Stevens of New Richmond has the Guinness World Record with a gourd of 1,810.6 pounds, confirmed a year ago at the Stillwater Harvest Fest in Minnesota.

Pedestrian killed near Roberts identified; 36-year-old driver in custody
An 84-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a car just after 3 p.m. east of Roberts on County Road TT, between 130th and 140th streets. The striking vehicle fled the scene but sheriff's deputies spotted the suspect car and arrested the driver, Robert C. Boles, in Hudson about 20 minutes later.
