Glen Park pool was set to open Memorial Day weekend, announced Parks and Rec Director Cindy Danke. She said a new liner is in and all ready to go and a brand new slide has been installed. Daily fees were $1.50 for those 5 and older, with season passes $25 each.

The difficult and dangerous cleanup of nearly 600 bags of herbicide-enhanced lawn fertilizer from the Red Cedar River at Menomonie continues with cleanup crews making significant progress, the Wisconsin DNR reports. As of Thursday, 209 bags had been recovered.

Tom Ramquist, Isaac Dzubay and Alex Haskins each made four trips to the awards podium and Ramquist posted the Cats’ best finish of the day by placing third in the 200 yard freestyle as the Wildcat boys’ swimming and diving team placed fourth at the six-team Big Rivers Conference Championship Meet Saturday, Feb. 2 in River Falls.
