Young local men jailed for weekend battery at Glen Park

A 26-year-old River Falls man was picked up Saturday morning, June 1, at his apartment at 819 S. Wasson Lane after being accused of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman from Frederic. The two met downtown around bar-closing time and returned with others to his apartment for an after-bar party.

River Falls police had their hands full with a drunk 22-year-old male passenger around 1 a.m. Friday, May 17, at South Main and Broadway streets. The young man, from UW-River Falls, called himself a graduate, but when an officer checked on his welfare because he seemed sick, "the graduate" allegedly turned abusive, claiming he would be a doctor, then shouting at and cussing the officer, calling him uneducated and dumb, and later using racial insults.

A 22-year-old local man on foot, without shoes or shirt, was arrested for disorderly conduct last week Wednesday night, May 8, on Main Street after he flipped over two newspaper dispensers.
