Prescott police sponsor holiday drive

Snow flies, cars towed
For the season’s first winter storm, River Falls got more than five inches of snow Saturday. To clear roads, police were out enforcing alternative parking and snow-removal rules. As a result, 36 motorists had their vehicles towed over the weekend for those violations.

River Falls police were called to the area of State and Charlotte streets before dawn Wednesday, June 8, to find two male suspects allegedly going through parked cars. They found the pair holding bags that apparently contained items stolen from cars and also from nearby Kwik Trip on South Main Street. One of those arrested was a male juvenile from River Falls.
