A 20-year-old local man said he was driven from his apartment by the woman he shares living space with. He said she came home at 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, and went into a fury because he was sleeping on her couch. The man said he was scratched on the neck by her fingernails. RF Police brought in to deal with suicidal man
Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, police officers were called to 1440 E. Cemetery Road to deal with a man who had a knife and was making suicidal threats. The local man ended up in a confrontation with officers who used a Taser stun gun to try to subdue him. River Falls Police Chief Roger Leque said he and a half-dozen officers were at the scene along with a Pierce County deputy. The man sustained “self-inflicted” stabbing wounds and was taken first to River Falls Area Hospital.

Schaffhausen has been charged with the murders of his three daughters in River Falls Tuesday, July 10. These items may have been ditched along the road by Schaffhausen before he turned himself in. River Falls police respond to fight, discover stash of pot, mushrooms
After investigating a fight between an 18-year-old male tenant and two strangers, officers arrested the tenant for possession of psilocybin (hallucinogenic) mushrooms, marijuana with intent to deliver, and drug paraphernalia Friday night, June 15, at a rental unit at 233 W. Cascade Ave. The two male assailants got away. Police suspect the fighting may have been about a drug deal gone bad.
