Walking to Empower
About 207 people attended the 2011 Walk to Empower domestic violence awareness event in Prescott on Saturday, Oct. 8. The two-mile walk was sponsored by Turningpoint for Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence of River Falls and hosted by the Prescott Police Department and the great River Road Learning Center. UPDATE: Hudson man robbed at gunpoint is arrested as well
The Hudson homeowner who was robbed at gun point early Monday morning has been arrested right along with the man who broke into his home. Police arrested Michael Wayne Schwartzkopf of Fond du Lac for the break-in. The homeowner, Steven Iverson, 1820 Stone Creek St., was arrested shortly thereafter when police allegedly found drugs in the residence. Both men are being held in St. Croix County Jail pending charges.
