In a time of year filled with excitement and emotion, the River Falls Public Library Gallery is offering another celebratory event: An exhibition of wedding dresses. “I Take Thee...The Wedding Dress Exhibit” will open with a public reception 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17.

Migratory birds discussed at library Oct. 29
Andy Paulios of the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative will speaking at the St. Croix Valley Bird Club meeting from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the River Falls Public Library. He will be discussing migratory bird conservation in Wisconsin. The meeting is free and open to the public.

River Falls’ first-ever Little Free Library was installed and filled with donated books last week near the mailboxes at Cudd’s Mobile Home Court on South Wasson Lane. From left to right are: Lauri Wilson, Todd Bol, Finnigan Lunney, Victoria Wood, Tim Lunney, Peter Bosworth and Marcy Bosworth. The group gathered at the installation of a Little Free Library dedicated to Wilson’s father, the late Steven Wilson, who some area residents may remember having worked with a CPA firm in River Falls. Not all creations took the shape of a house – the array includes a disco, Egyptians-style pyramids, igloos, an multi-tiered eastern-style temple and many traditional homes and cottages.
