A 29-year-old River Falls man pursued for an apartment burglary after 3 a.m. Friday, July 6, yelled to law enforcement officers in the distance that he didn’t want to be bitten. A St. Croix County police dog had the man cornered in the thick brush not far from the South Fork River on campus. The officers shouted back to the cornered suspect: Stay put and keep your hands up until we get there.

A 17-year-old Oconto Falls boy will spend just over four years in prison for starting a fire that caused $2 million in damage to a Catholic grade school. Vincent Enneper was sentenced Sept. 20 for the February 21st blaze that heavily damaged Saint Anthony School in Oconto Falls.

The 27-year-old Menomonie man was described as drunk and unable to explain the nudity that left his genitals exposed. After investigating a fight between an 18-year-old male tenant and two strangers, officers arrested the tenant for possession of psilocybin (hallucinogenic) mushrooms, marijuana with intent to deliver, and drug paraphernalia Friday night, June 15, at a rental unit at 233 W. Cascade Ave. The two male assailants got away. Police suspect the fighting may have been about a drug deal gone bad.

The one brother, age 27, was sleeping on the living room couch. His 21-year-old brother asked him to give him and his girlfriend a ride to ShopKo. The older brother agreed but then went right back to sleep. The other brother, expecting the ride, didn't like that.
