Marjorie "Marge" Riter (nee Sabby), age 73, Somerset, Wis., died peacefully and gracefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 4, 2011, at the Arthur Rose Assisted Living Center in New Richmond.
Marjorie "Marge" Riter (nee Sabby), age 73, Somerset, Wis., died peacefully and gracefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 4, 2011, at the Arthur Rose Assisted Living Center in New Richmond.
Marge was born on March 1, 1938, to Fred and Helma (Wolden) Sabby. She graduated from River Falls High School in 1956. Marge married G. Thomas "Tom" Riter on May 14, 1960, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in River Falls. She was employed at State Farm Insurance Companies from 1956 to 1999.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her dog and faithful companion, Bernie.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Ronnie) Harshman; brother, Ken (Audrey) Sabby; nieces, Terri Sabby, Traci Sabby and her daughter, Miranda; nephew, Chris (Jenny) Sabby and their children, Katlyn, Alexis, and Carissa.
Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Somerset. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment St. Anne's Cemetery.
