Audrey Grant, 78, of Spring Valley, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, at The Lutheran Home in River Falls.

Audrey Grant, 78, of Spring Valley, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, at The Lutheran Home in River Falls.

Audrey was born Jan. 16, 1935, in Gilman Township, to Carl and Elvina (Anderson) Brorson. She grew up in Gilman Township, attended Spring Valley schools, and married Malcolm "Mike" Grant on March 16, 1953.

They lived in the Elmwood and Spring Valley areas all their lives. Audrey worked at Smeads in River Falls for over 20 years. She was always up for a game of cards, especially euchre, and often did crossword puzzles. She loved to sew, crochet, and cross-stitch. She had a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents; husband Mike; sister Evelyn (Corvin) Halvorson; brother Dale (Gladys) Brorson; three grandchildren, Mary and Jodi Bernhardt and Tara Grant; and one great-grandchild, Alex Brohman-Morgen.

Survived by three daughters and two sons: Gwen (Bob) Huebel, Elmwood; Charlene Grant, River Falls; Gordon (Lisa) Grant, Spring Valley; Patrick (Gay) Grant, Ramsey, Minn.; and Christine Morgen, Red Wing; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother, Arnold (Dorothy) Brorson; one sister Joann (Roy) Johnson, all of Spring Valley; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Valley. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of services at the church. Burial is in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Spring Valley. Honorary bearers are her great-grandchildren and pallbearers are her grandchildren.
