Floraine C. (nee Jungk) Marklowitz, aka Toots, passed away on Feb. 18.

Floraine was born in Cylon, Wis., on Oct. 19, 1936. She grew up in St. Paul, Minn. She married Donald Marklowitz Sr. on Feb. 14, 1957. She and her family moved to western Wisconsin from St. Paul in 1969. They did a variety of things together: homemaking, raising four children, 4-H, maintaining a hobby farm, truck gardening, volunteer church work, owning a bar, moving back and forth from northern Wisconsin to Arizona, etc. She came back to live permanently in Wisconsin in 2004.

Floraine became an active member of the United Church of God-Eau Claire and loved the wonderful people and rich Biblical teaching she found there. Her faith, family, and friends were very special to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Marklowitz Sr.

She is survived by their four children: Donald Marklowitz Jr., Baldwin; Shelly (Mike) Weyers, Hudson; Kim (Jim) Waterman, Baldwin; and Toni (Mark) Nelson, Clarksville, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren, Ian, Colin, Tristan, Garrett, Sarah, Elizabeth, Brian, and Danny. Her family and friends will sorely miss her.

A celebration of life for Floraine will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Sixth Street in Hudson, Wis. A visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to services at the church.
